been successfully using diagnostics to inform Botox injections in patients with chronic exertional compartment syndrome for about eight years. “With Botox, because the muscles are so large that we’re treating, we’re using very precise injections and
developed a diagnostic protocol to allow us to specifically target the area of the muscle where the problem’s occurring,” he says.
WWAMI Student Research
Trey Thompson's presentation on Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome was awarded first place by the American College of Physicians at the WWAMI Research Symposium, and he received a $500 award. He will be presenting his findings again at the Western Medical Research Conference in Carmel, California this winter.
